I am soaking up all the new experiences of life in Australia.
New places bring new opportunities, which excites me about taking this next step. These steps keep pushing me closer to what I want to accomplish in life.
No dream is too big, and for me, the Sunny Coast is a place where I can give myself space to think critically about my next steps, be creative, and take time to reflect and learn from past experiences.

LOST MY BIKE IN SYDNEY
When I first arrived in Australia I had a transfer from Sydney to Gold Coast airport. Ayane picked me up from Gold Coast in this awesome camper van and we were looking to make our way south a little bit to see some extended family. Unfortunately, my bike was forgotten in Sydney by Qantas so I struggled a little bit to decide what would be the best way to enjoy the camper van. We ended up staying in Gold Coast for the night at a friend’s house, while my bike was being flown up from Sydney.
That same evening we actually got a notification that the bike would arrive on the next flight and we made our way to the airport. We still ended up staying the night in Gold Coast just because it was getting a bit late, but we really enjoyed our night with friends!
FIRST DAY IN SUNNY COAST
That next morning we made our way up to Sunshine Coast where we will be staying for the next few months. Our home is very remote, neighbors farms with animals and rich gardens, and our house is very open with a lot of windows for sunlight to run through the house.
It feels like we have our own world in this house. The front is covered with trees and creates a lot of unique shadows, and the back garden is very open and spacious for activities and lounging. We really enjoy being in our own space in the countryside of Sunny Coast.

UNBOXING MY BICYCLE
During my first week here I was able to get my belongings situated and got my bike built out of the cardboard box I packed it in. Unboxing the bike was quite nerve-wracking since it was my first time doing so but I had such a good time being meticulous and making sure the small things were functioning properly (I will make a video about what it is like flying with my bike.)
I had this whole video recorded and ready for editing and then my GoPro had an error and messed up all the files on the SD card, so this video will not be coming out. But I a, currently editing a video of my first big bike adventure on the Sunny Coast.
UNTIL NEXT TIME
I have a lot going through my mind as I use this time in Australia as a transition to life in Japan. There is a lot to prepare for in Okinawa but there is also so much to enjoy while I am here in Sunshine Coast.
Until next time, keep it easy!
